MaintainX Smart Hub AI Is Enterprise Only

MaintainX’s new AI workspace, Smart Hub, is on the Enterprise plan only. Enterprise has no public price. If you run a crew of 6 to 12 techs on Premium, none of it is yours yet.

MaintainX’s help center added the pages on Oct. 31, 2026. That is a documentation date, not a launch announcement. Smart Hub is still marked Beta.

What you get, and on which plan

New in the docs Plan Price shown
Smart Hub (Beta), web only Enterprise None
Request troubleshooting for Operators, mobile Premium and Enterprise None
Guest seats Premium and Enterprise, with the Service add-on None

Custom Work Rotations and usage-based maintenance plans also left Beta. Custom Work Rotations page: Enterprise, web only.

What 10 techs pay today

The pricing page lists Premium at $65 per user a month if you pay yearly. For 10 techs, that is $650 a month, or $7,800 a year. That math is ours, not a MaintainX quote.

Essential is $20. The same 10 techs cost $2,400 a year there. Smart Hub is on neither plan. For Enterprise, the page says “Let’s chat.”

Smart Hub: eight AI skills, web only

Smart Hub runs “skills” that write reports and drafts. The docs list eight. Three examples:

  • Parts Restocker drafts a purchase order for parts that may run out. It reviews up to 75 at-risk parts per run.
  • PM Plan Auditor reports on PM completion and PMs that find no issues.
  • End of Shift Summary writes a handoff report from work order activity.

Nothing runs on its own. MaintainX says skills cannot make changes without your approval. It also warns that AI output may have errors. Techs in the mobile app do not see it, because Smart Hub is web only.

Operators get a troubleshooting helper

Operators are the people who run the machines. When one reports a problem, MaintainX Assist asks questions and suggests simple checks. If the operator fixes it, no request is created. If not, the operator reviews a draft request that lists the steps already tried.

Operators can skip the questions. They can tap “I don’t feel safe doing this.” Admins can block hands-on steps for the whole site or for chosen assets.

The default cap is 2 work orders a day per Operator. A higher cap means calling a MaintainX rep. No price is posted.

One plan detail does not match. The troubleshooting page says Premium and Enterprise. MaintainX’s pricing table marks MaintainX Assist as Enterprise only. We are quoting both pages as written.

Guest seats: no price, and two pages disagree

A Guest is a customer contact who can log in and track work. MaintainX builds the role for service companies such as OEMs, resellers, installers and third-party maintenance providers. A plant that only fixes its own machines is not the buyer.

For service companies, the cost is unclear. The Guest role page says the Service add-on includes two Guest seats. The MaintainX for Service page says Guest seats are bought separately and does not mention two. Extra seats are sold per seat, per year. Both pages say to ask a rep for the price.

A Guest’s email can be tied to only one customer. A tech who serves three customers needs three accounts.

What to do

If you are on Premium, ask your rep three things before renewal: the Enterprise price for your seat count, whether MaintainX Assist is on your plan, and the Operator cap price. If you want to compare without a sales call, start with MaintainX pricing and MaintainX alternatives.
