MaintainX Alternatives (2026): 8 Options, Per-User Prices

Prices checked on vendor sites on November 1, 2026.

Leave MaintainX if you’ve outgrown Essential. Stay if you haven’t. Essential is $20 per user a month if you pay yearly. None of the other per-user plans we checked cost less. But parts, purchasing and time tracking sit on Premium, at $65.

Two MaintainX alternatives give you time and cost tracking for far less. Click Maint is $35 per user a month and adds parts tracking. Coast Starter is $25. For 10 techs, MaintainX Premium costs $650 a month. Click Maint costs $350. Coast Starter costs $250. All three are yearly prices.

Got 10 or more people in the app? Look at Maintenance Care. It’s a flat $250 a month for unlimited users.

We took every price from the vendor’s own site on Nov. 1, 2026. If a vendor hides its price, we say “quote only.” For MaintainX’s own plans, see MaintainX pricing.

Monthly cost for 5 and 10 users

None of these vendors shows a team price, so we did the math from each per-user rate. Prices are for yearly billing where the vendor says so.

  • *Limble, UpKeep and Fiix don’t say if their price is for yearly or monthly billing.
  • Limble shows no prices on its pricing page. The $28 and $69 come from Limble’s own cost guide.
  • Paying month to month costs more at MaintainX ($25 and $75), Click Maint ($42) and Coast ($28 and $72).
  • Maintenance Care’s $250 is based on yearly pricing. It shows no monthly rate.
  • UpKeep sells setup packages on top: $500 (training only), $1,500 (quickstart) and $5,000 (advanced).
  • eMaint needs at least 3 users on Professional and 5 on Enterprise, paid a year up front.
  • Coast also sells a $2-a-user scheduling and chat plan. That’s a different product, so it’s not here.
  • Totals leave out tax, setup and data migration.

Why people leave MaintainX

We read MaintainX reviews on G2 and Capterra on Nov. 1, 2026. These are the common complaints, not a count of people who left.

  • Missing features. G2’s biggest complaint group is missing features, like integrations and inventory (127 mentions). Next are limited inventory and job tools (74) and limited ways to customize workflows and procedures (71).
  • Cost for small teams. A Capterra reviewer on Aug. 18, 2026, called the cost “a bit high” for smaller companies.
  • Features moving up a tier. A Capterra reviewer on Apr. 8, 2026, said features moved to the Enterprise tier, which was out of their budget. Another, on Dec. 19, 2025, said multi-site reporting needs a big Enterprise spend.

What about Autodesk? Its 8-K says it closed the MaintainX deal on Aug. 3, 2026. We found no G2 or Capterra reviewer naming the deal as a reason to switch.

What each one does differently

Limble. Its Standard plan has unlimited work orders and PMs. MaintainX Essential caps checklists at 3 work orders a month. Limble says setup, training and support come with the license.

UpKeep. View-only and requester users are free, and view-only users can run reports. There’s no free plan.

Fiix. The free plan includes parts inventory and 25 active PMs. At MaintainX, parts inventory starts at Premium. Purchasing starts on Fiix Professional ($75).

eMaint. Condition-based PMs, parts and purchasing are on its lower plan, Professional. eMaint shows no price, so we can’t say if that costs less than MaintainX Premium.

Fracttal. Its site presents Fracttal Sense, its IoT condition monitoring, as part of the platform. At MaintainX, IoT sensor links are Enterprise only. Fracttal is quote only, so we don’t know which plan includes Sense.

Click Maint. One plan with parts, time and cost tracking and API access, at $35 yearly or $42 monthly. MaintainX puts those on Premium. Help moving your data may cost extra.

Coast. Starter includes unlimited repeating work orders with procedures, plus time and cost tracking, for $25 yearly. There’s a free plan too.

Maintenance Care. One flat price for unlimited users, PMs, assets, vendors and parts. The free plan covers 2 users.

Which one fits your team

  • You mainly need work orders and PMs: MaintainX Essential is hard to beat on price. Count how many checklist work orders you run a month first. If it’s more than 3, test Coast Starter, UpKeep Essential or Limble Standard.
  • You need parts and purchasing: compare against MaintainX Premium, not Essential. Click Maint, Fiix Professional and Maintenance Care all show prices for this.
  • 10 or more people log in: per-user prices add up fast. Maintenance Care’s flat fee was the only exception we found.
  • You need multi-site, SSO or IoT: most vendors only quote these. Get written quotes from eMaint, Fracttal and the others, and check what’s included.

We checked every price on Nov. 1, 2026, and re-check at least every 90 days. See how we compare CMMS software and all our CMMS comparisons.
